About Us

Latimer Reservation is owned and operated by the Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America.  We provide youth with a new destination for outdoor activities such as climbing, rappelling, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, backpacking and shooting sports.

Latimer Reservation is also available to public and private organizations looking for a facility for conferences and church retreats.  All non-profit groups are encouraged to participate in the Latimer experience.

Latimer Reservation became a reality in 2007 with a generous gift from Bill and Carol Latimer.  The 1550 acre property is surrounded by more than 50,000 acres of public wilderness in the heart of east central Tennessee.  We have formed partnerships with the Tennessee State Parks Division, Tennessee State Forestry Division and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency to provide visitors with complete access to the surrounding wilderness, including the Bee Creek Basin of Scott Gulf to the east, Scott Pinnacle to the northwest, the Caney Fork River, the Bridgestone/Firestone Centennial Wilderness Area to the north and Fall Creek Falls State Park to the south.
